Miltos & Fotini - An Elegant Summer Wedding in Tinos

On the serene island of Tinos, in the heart of the Cyclades, Miltos and Fotini celebrated their union in a wedding that combined Greek tradition with a relaxed island-chic aesthetic. Their big day began in Tinos’ iconic whitewashed alleys, where a photo session forever captured their love and emotion against the island’s radiant light and architectural purity. At golden hour, the couple, hand in hand,  walked along the rocky shoreline, the Aegean stretching endlessly behind them. The soft light, the movement of Fotini’s veil cascading in the air and the quiet intimacy of the moment created portraits that would be timeless.

The Orthodox ceremony took place at a picturesque, coastal whitewashed church, the Presentation of Our Lord at the Temple (Ypapanti tou Kyriou) in the village of Ktikados. Its impressive entrance was adorned with two abundant floral compositions of lush greenery, white blooms, and soft blue hydrangeas, which were perfectly complemented by chamomile and lavender. The floral arrangements, designed by Levanta Events, captured the essence of Tinos’ natural beauty, bringing the countryside and the island’s nature-loving spirit to the forefront of the celebration. The bride’s fragrant bouquet released its soft aromas with her every movement

In keeping with a tradition dating back to Ancient Greece and the Byzantine era, live musicians led the bride and groom to the church, separately, each accompanied by their families and friends through Tinos’ narrow marble alleys. The festive sound of the violin and lute signalled the happy event and the couple’s procession to the church, blending celebration with heritage in a way only the Greek islands can offer.

The reception at Omma embraced a rustic-chic mood, while the wedding menu, designed by Exo Catering, offered a traditional Greek culinary experience. Long wooden tables were set with woven chargers, deep-blue linen napkins tied with rosemary sprigs, soft candlelight, and delicate aromatic arrangements of chamomile and seasonal florals. The palette, which included ivory, natural straw textures, and Aegean blue, reflected the beauty of the surrounding landscape.

As night fell and a gentle sea breeze swept through the celebration, the evening reached its peak with music, laughter, and dancing filling the air. Miltos and Fotini created a wedding that was highlighted by the Tinian spirit, genuine and truly unforgettable – a true destination wedding experience in Greece.
