Dafni and Federico, who reside in Germany, decided to get married and celebrate their love in the picturesque village of Portaria in Pelion. The couple’s story began with love at first sight! Two and a half years later they were engaged in Federico’s hometown of Syracuse, Sicily, and eventually chose to marry in Dafni’s hometown of Portaria, one of the most charming and cosmopolitan mountain villages of Pelion. Their wedding brought together family and friends from all over the world: Greece, Italy, Germany (their home location), Mexico, Guatemala, and more.
For Dafni and Federico, their wedding day—or rather, the entire week filled with pre-parties and after-parties—was the most beautiful and emotional time of their lives. The ceremony took place just before sunset at the old village square chapel, while the reception followed at “La Veranda” Square of Xenia Palace Portaria, offering breathtaking views of Volos and the azure Pagasetic Gulf. Guests were first treated to aperitifs, listening to lounge and sunset-vibe music selected by the DJ, and later enjoyed a gourmet dinner prepared by the hotel’s expert team of chefs.The evening quickly transformed into a lively party that lasted until dawn, with the dancefloor lighting up with joy, dancing, and overwhelming emotions.

Dafni emphasised that none of this would have been possible without the pivotal contribution of VK Events, the boutique wedding and event planning office led by Vasiliki Kontonatsiou. Together with her team, she ensured everything ran smoothly during the preparations and on the wedding day. Both the floral arrangements and overall decor followed a minimal yet chic style, with white simplicity taking center stage, complemented by earthy tan touches in harmony with the lush landscape and traditional architecture.
