Ania and Thanos, while living in Toronto, chose the enchanting island of Sifnos as the setting for their dream destination wedding.
They met in Toronto when Ania visited one of Thanos’ restaurants with friends. A simple introduction turned into love at first sight, marking the beginning of a journey that would soon bring them back to Greece.

The proposal came during one of their cherished summer escapes to Mani, on the Peloponnese Peninsula, the birthplace of Thanos’ father, a region famous for its authentic, rugged beauty. While swimming in the crystal waters of Gerolimenas, Ania emerged from a dive only to find Thanos holding a small velvet box with a diamond ring sparkling blindly under the Greek noon sun. During that breathtaking moment, she said “yes.” That “magic” spot has since become a family tradition, revisited every summer with their children.
