Sevi & Dennis - A Greek island Wedding in Naxos scented with the Aromas of Chios
For Dennis and Sevi, what began as a romance in the U.S. became something far deeper—a journey back to their roots where memories, heritage, and love merged into one unforgettable celebration. He, from the sunlit island of Naxos. She from the noble and storied land of Chios. Drawn to each other at first sight, their connection brought these two worlds together, driven by destiny.
The bride prepared in serene luxury at Elaiolithos Luxury Villas, a retreat set among lush green mountains. Together with her bridesmaids, she shared a toast of champagne, anticipating the exciting and precious moments that were to follow. The surrounding landscape inspired a design aesthetic stemming from nature—earthy textures, flowing fabrics and an organic palette that blended beautifully with the environment. White floral arrangements added a final layer of softness and finesse, completing a setting that felt incredibly festive and elegant.
Elements of tradition were beautifully woven into the day. The playful, charming sound of violins accompanied the bride and groom to the ceremony on foot, through the quaint marbled streets of Naxos. Guests were welcomed with cherished Greek treats — fragrant loukoumia, delicate almond sweets, the distinctive Naxian kitron, together with soumada and mastiha of Chios — each offering a taste of the couple’s shared heritage and the customs of traditional island hospitality.
Their ceremony took place at the Monastery of Panagia Drosiani, one of the oldest Byzantine treasures of Naxos, dating to the 7th century A.D.—a setting that evokes deep reverence and awe. Surrounded by delicate white florals, the couple exchanged vows with emotion flowing in every glance.

As dusk set in, the ambience softened into a more intimate mood. Within the retreat’s historic stone mill, a cigar and whiskey bar created a scene of subdued refinement, while laughter and spontaneity filled the air around the photo booth, creating cheerful, vibrant moments.
The couple’s entrance to the reception was a memorable moment. Cheered on by the standing guests and accommodated by their selected musical pieces, they ignited the celebration. And as the evening reached its peak, under the celebration light, Dennis and Sevi shared their first dance, followed by the cutting of an exquisite wedding cake. Music, movement, and emotion gave way to a night full of joy, warmth, and moments that would be remembered and cherished forever.
